The switch to musl for extended compatibility predictably created a small performance decline. That can however be regained as well as unlock a meaningful reduction in memory usage by pairing mimalloc.
Results vary across systems - Ubuntu is ~15% faster with scan times but on other systems such as AlmaLinux 8 it is up to twice as fast. A consistent 20% memory reduction is also observed across all environments.
